Having worked in Vauxhall’s PR team in the past, I naturally tuned in to chairman and managing director, Rory Harvey’s, video on the company’s decision to recall 220,000 Zafiras because of fires in the heating and ventilation system. It says something about the typical board-level attitude towards corporate communications that we don’t see more refreshing and simple approaches in times of trouble.
Blog: Seven common business video mistakes

We were recently asked by a client for some advice on making a corporate video. It was easier to say what not to do and so, here are our seven common errors made when making a company video….
Blog: The problem with online file sharing
May, 27, 2015
Recently my email account was hacked. We all like to think we are somewhat internet savvy and while you wouldn’t catch me falling for the Nigerian royalty inheritance-type email scams, last month, I did click on a link to a Dropbox file sent by a trusted source who had advised he would be sending me a link to a large image that very afternoon.

So, you’ve picked your agency, now it’s over to them to deliver that beautiful and successful campaign they’d promised in their pitch. Or is it? Having worked both in-house and agency side, I’ve seen some brilliant briefs, as well as some awful ones, and sometimes, none at all…
Blog: Writing a winning award entry

Winning an award is a superb feeling. The elation I felt on receiving the under 16s supplementary cup as part of the mighty Southam Town FC has rarely been surpassed. Admittedly the skills involved in this sporting highlight from my past are somewhat removed from those I employ in my current capacity at Propel, where I write and rewrite all manner of professional communications for clients.

Blog: What does virtual a PR and marketing department mean?
Aug, 6, 2014
Cruden is like many of our clients. It is a medium-sized company comprised of engineers that knows it needs to ‘do’ marketing and PR, but would rather its people focus on the core business. This Amsterdam-based simulator manufacturer is also not unique in using Propel Technology as a foothold into the UK from continental Europe or US-located headquarters.
Blog: How Viessmann made a big presence at a major show
Nov, 10, 2015
Trade shows, such as Ecobuild, offer the ideal opportunity for companies to make a noise and get noticed. Working with our international heating systems manufacturer client, Viessmann, we helped demonstrate that this need not e dependent on UK market share. The key ingredients are having a good product, a good story and good marketing.
Propel Technology was founded in 2010 to help companies communicate technically-challenging subjects to the outside world. Our focus is on communications strategy, messaging and creating robust, engaging content. Get that right and we find the rest flows easily. We're proud of our long term relationships with clients large and small, fulfilling all the roles of an in-house PR and marketing department without any of the hassle.
Where do we operate? Thanks to our place within a very active international PR agency network, pretty much everywhere!
Who we are: We're a particularly driven bunch, seriously committed to furthering the reputation of our clients and market acceptance of their technologies. We're compulsive learners. We need to know how everything works. We're not engineers but this job is the next best thing!
Who we work for: Are you big enough to need a dedicated PR and marketing function but lack the time or expertise to run it? Then let's meet! We have helped companies in automotive, motorsport, commercial vehicles, heating, power, refrigeration and sensory science. Our clients are based all over the world.
Our values (or simply five heartfelt promises to our clients):
Brochures, flyers, newsletters
